We're in trouble anyway. But not really because the vaccine is more or less effective against the new variants; rather, because we keep seeing new variants because it's still going like crazy out there.
Stubborn people refusing vaccines. Poor nations not even receiving vaccines in the first place. Such a world of selfish bastards. Really makes me wonder if we're worth bothering with.
Probably some alien set it loose to take over a lovely planet full of diverse flora and fauna once we're cleaned up. And such amazing sunsets. Can't say I blame them.
