I'm one of "those guys" who pretty much never likes the new "improved" version of anything. The list of cars that have gone downhill, at least to me, is very long.

Range Rover (haven't made an attractive once sine the Ranger Rover Classic, '93-'95)
BMW 3-series (stopped being attractive with the e36, and the 2002 model (model number, not year) was even prettier)
Ford Mustang (hasn't been an attractive car since the 60s... when it was beautiful)
BMW Z3 (Much more attractive than the Z4)
Toyota Land Cruiser - prefer the look of the 60 and 80 series. The Hundys aren't bad. The new ones are gag-ariffic. Ditto the Lexus line of LX vehicles.
Toyota 4runner - see Land Cruiser comments.

At least the 86 twins haven't gone fool-goose angular alien insect (like almost every other car these days) and still retain some nice curved lines here and there.

Every time I find a vehicle (or any product for that matter) that I like, seems like somebody "improves" it and wrecks it. Guess that's why my '13 FRS is, by far, my newest vehicle.
