Imho it's wrong to care much about fitment/stance in relation with winter tires. Grip in winter already is scarce, not worth to compromise it with looks. And going for very wide tires in winter is against common practice that usually is opposite, for going narrower for winter tires, for tire to easier cut through packed snow/slush, to not float above in similar fashion to aquaplaning.
