My own car splits the weight difference, and when I drove the 86 the added weight was evident. I am hoping the GR86 with its much improved rigidity feels a bit lighter on its feet.
hmm well i did forget to mention in my review that i've taken the rear seats out of mine, have cf trunk ( with aforementioned lw flywheel, cf driveshaft, lightweight wheels with stickier tires, and taking out the stock muffler) have some other cf bits that i havent installed yet and will be deleting a few more things. the miata just didnt feel as nimble to me

more money had to be spent to get the 86 to feel out of this world (like it feels AMAZING!!) im aware but that's also part of the fun with the 86 i think (modifying cars is like the fun part of the journey) WITH stock suspension!

performance aside,
the 86 is more my style design wise and then trunk space (the fact i was able to pick up my new wheels 2 hours away in my 86 was so satisfying for some reason). pluuus i coudnt fit this thing from my 86 onto the windshield in the miata i rented without giving up the ability to use the turn signal:

tldr: miata is cool but 86 is cooler says guy who posts on an 86 forum
