It is pretty common practice for companies to buy Canadian trucks, bring them into the states, and sell them to dealers. There are businesses devoted to just importing Canadian trucks because they can get them for cheaper, especially when the exchange rate is in our favor. A friend of mine worked for a company that did this and warned me that if I am looking at a used truck with fender flares, check the vin and inspect the truck for heavy rust.
