AnalogMan, in the audio hobby world vacuum tubes are definitely the thing. And Marantz vintage stuff is more valuable then ever. I introduce tube sound quality to my system via a Schiit tube preamp fed to a solid state amp.

I'm a big fan of Tidal Masters which I stream through an extremely well performing external DAC, (Topping D90). It's like having everything at your fingertips and one of the biggest enjoyments I derive from the web.
Around 2017 I started collecting vinyl records and have since become a bit of an afficionado. Last year it stopped, but I bought around 800 records in around 3 years, mostly in excellent shape.

The one caveat, some audiophiles believe one can never spend too much on audio equipment. It's one of the most snake oil plagued hobbies there is. I'm educated enough to agree with electrical engineers that a lot of fancy cables and accessories are sold based on mythology, sometimes for huge money. Just check out Audiogon.
