I recently have gotten back into Dirt Rally 2 and it has made me yearn for another sequel. It also made me realize, Codemasters put detail in places I don't recall seeing in many games (or at least experienced). Things such as actual destructible car parts falling off and not just a cracked light or dinged in bumper like Forza. I completed a course a moment ago with both left side tires gone, as well as the front fender and door missing. Another time my widows were all cracked or the hood flopped.

I also enjoy the sound and design of each car. The engine bays seem well detailed and not just a clean matte color like in Forza. The exhaust and engines sound phenomenal! Even engines from the same lineage sound different, i.e. my 95 Impreza, 22b, and 2013 STI all sound slightly different. This isn't the case in many games where they have the generic boxer motor sound. I also appreciate the simplicity of the improvements you can make on a car and the need to repair it. I know people don't like that idea, but I love it! The attention to detail makes me wish Codemasters would release an actual sim racing game and not that GRID garbage. Anyway, enjoying the game!
