Depending on the light situation, I'd ether put my car in N and cruise it all the way and break. If I see the light go green and theres a long o'l line I'll break when the distance looks kind of right and downshift from whatever gear I'm on to 2nd or 3rd depending on how far the car infront of me moves. o_O

It's a general rule that you don't want to be in neutral for too long while driving. There may come a situation in which you would need to accelerate out of danger and if you're in neutral, it would take you that much more time to shift into gear and gun it. By that time, the unspeakable may have already happened. I almost always downshift until I reach less than 10mph approaching a stop and heel/toe into turns unless I feel super lazy for some reason or (like lately) am worried about wasting too much gas when rev-matching.
