If you can get your hands on a DA or Rotary polisher you can clean that up with the compound you have. I'd stick with foam pads, like an orange or yellow cut.
Finish with a green pad and a polish.
You'd need to use a decent amount of pressure by hand to build up heat needed to correct that. Then you'll need a polish to correct the hazing.

I managed to correct light etching by hand that happened on my deck lid. Poop was only there a day, two tops and it left a hollowgrame effect you could see in the right lighting.


Ceramic coating can help as It'll etch the coating if left on which is probably more desirable than the clear it self. You'd need to repolish the panel and recoat in that situation.
