But the point is a lot of people aren’t regularly getting tested. So if they haven’t been tested and aren’t showing symptoms, then they won’t know they’re infected and can spread it.
Especially evidenced by people in this thread saying they’d go out without a mask regardless.
The latter part doesn’t really work either, with the false assumption.
My dad taught me to drive and he said I should always imagine how other people on the road are driving. As in, don’t assume everybody is as observant / safe as I am.
Sometimes you need to do your part to be extra cautious even if you trust yourself simply because you A) can’t trust others, and B) don’t want other’s actions to affect your own actions, which could then cause accidents/injuries.
