My Tuner sent me a rom file to install but in the middle of the process the cable slipped out of the PC and the tune failed to finish installing. Now the ECU is not detected by proEcu anymore and even when I manually pick the car, when I query the ECU or try to install the rom again, it gives an alert saying "This appears to be a part programmed ECU" and then fails saying the vin numbers don't match but it's not acutally reading the cars vin number. It's also showing unknown ECU Version Cal.id = ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ. I've tried pulling the battery for a while and retrying it but no luck. I've already tried to take the battery out for 30 ish minutes and try again, still shows unknown ecu id and says vin() doesnt match the one on rom which is (JF1......)
any help would be appreciated

If you have already followed the ecutek recovery proceedure here

ie manually selected ecu type then flash a stock rom of correct calid
then you will need to contact ecutek directly in England they will try remote recovery or you may need to send them ecu
