Population killers? Wars for resources and then famine.

In my lifetime (I’m 39), the effects of our pollution, harvesting, destruction, etc is going to lead to weather changes, mass migration, economic disparity, famine and the depletion of natural resources, economic instability, etc. We are in the middle of a mass extinction event that we are causing, and we will eventually be the ones to go. Remember the movie Elysium? The rich will move to Mars while we destroy each other and the planet.
Nah I'm bored of pandemics already. I always wondered when we start colonizing Mars whether it will be the super-rich that go or the poor. I guess if the resources on Earth are gone it will be the rich who leave. Also the poor can't afford space travel, but maybe some kind of incentive for being in that first wave of people to go?
