Yes, that sounds very romantic and idealistic. Until you're confronted with exactly that possibility. The prospect of dying trying. Then you're dead, didn't get what you wanted, and since you're dead, you can't even have the satisfaction of saying to yourself, 'well, at least I died trying'. You're just dead. No do-overs or second chances.
