I’ve had 4. An E46 I sold with 200k on it, original clutch still. Then a Z4 and an E92, then switched the E92 for an E90 (4door). Still have that one, it’s at 100k and drives amazingly. None of then had a warranty while I owned them, and yes they need maintenance, but none of it has been crazy (water pump, valve cover gasket).

My BRZ on the other has had the engine out twice before 75k miles. And the TOB. And it needed new shocks fairly early too. I’m glad that one had a warranty when I bought it.
