I'll have you know that I tried to ride my old 10 speed just last year - for about 20 yards. I bought all three of the granddaughters bicycles and the plan was for me to ride along with them.

So, I drug out my old 10 speed from the basement, pumped up the tires and thought I was good to go. WRONG! I had all kinds of difficulty keeping my balance because my feet wouldn't touch the ground (and I couldn't find the training wheels - ). Since their is a slight hill in front of our house, the pedals were really hard to work, so I was trying to balance and downshift at the same time - All the time the skinny seat was pounding me where I haven't been pounded in over 40 years.

OK, plan B. Besides the bikes, I have this puppy down in the basement. However, it hasn't been started in 25 years. That would take waaay too much time and effort to get it running.

So, I went with plan C. I just walk and have them circle around keeping me in sight.
