I agree that the engine performance will be lower in other regions cause of the stricter emission regulations. Toyota is faced with a problem, that Subaru doesn't have it by focusing mainly with the NA marker. However, gearing is not an option in EU. We didn't get in the '17 refresh the power updates (red intake, new header) and we didn't get the shorter drive ratio (4.3:1) either.
