It's my personal belief that anyone who trades in their car instead of selling on their own is wasting lots of money. Two different sales people offered me $400 trade in for my '91 Celica GTS. I sold it on my own for $1600.

You were hit on the opposite side of your engine. That will help significantly if you decide to sell.
