Yeap, had to fully remove and then find a contact adhesive that could overcome the heat and sun of summer without forming air bubbles when it was back in the car under the windscreen - took a few goes. In all, around 3 days to make sure it was dry, cured, etc.
I'd have loved to keep it but its full of pitfalls - not least the issue of the passenger air bag gets deployed through the dashboard. Wasn't aware of this when I first did it, so I decided to replace the entire dash in the end for safety. Its rather difficult to get the material to work with the 90 degree angles on the edges, so can lead to some creasing and even lifting in some areas.
if I could get a professional to stitch for the angles, and give me confidence the airbag would still deploy, I'd 100% get it done for the right money! But alas/
