I understand your point, though I was referring specifically to the BRZ/86 and the conflicting instructions between the relevant Sprintex and Innovate manuals.

Turns out it's not ok... Unless it is in some magical sweet spot of finger tightness, it will spew out oil under load..

I would be keen for some more info on your experience completing the helicoil repair. How is it holding up? I am about to attempt a temporary fix with some PTFE tape, although I'm not sure how this will go and if it will hold up. Either way, I would want to fix it properly as soon as I can.
