My tires are 235/40-17. I put the wheels on before I put the coilovers on just because I was anxious to see how they looked. With the stock strut and spring, I could not get my finger between the tire and spring up front. But, I did drive around for several days like that without any rubbing. 245's, especially if they are a "wide" 245 might rub.
