However, I am just still curious as to how prevalent this issue is in terms of statistics and whatnot.
When I was a kid I took growth hormone shots on a daily basis because I was below the average size/height/weight curve for kids my age for about 10 years. There were possible side effects from it. Not everyone gets side effects at all. In some cases it's because of undiagnosed allergies that can cause a bad reaction from taking said medication (as is the case with many other modern medicines).
But just because some people have very adverse side effects doesn't mean it will apply to everyone or the majority of those taking those medications.
