I dont need the exercise arguing either. Most people will get the vaccine. If feel you're not at all vulnerable then don't get it, everyone else will be protected at that point. But you will need to use a certain level of precaution until most people that wish to be vaccinated, are. And expect travel restrictions looking ahead.
Based on my reading and educational background, I don't think the vaccines being used hold the risk of anything greater than a mild flu for almost everyone. Extreme anaphylactic reaction or unusual conditions are still pretty rare and I'd rather help my population eradicate the virus than let it play out on it's own.
Pretty sure my Dad was a healthy enough old man that he wouldn't have died of the flu, incidentally.
