Yeah I've been using a super cheap knife for years. Saw this one recommended, so I figured I'd just buy it as an upgrade ;P
In my opinion, you need at least 4 great knifes.

1. A good chef knife,

2. A good pairing knife,

3. A serrated bread knife,

4. A boning knife.

Everyman need to know how to cut up a whole chicken. Ok, maybe not humfrz.
