I had to do peer "performance evaluations" this year, which is new to me. My last job didn't have them.
One of the guys on my team I straight up declined doing one for because I've pretty much never had a chance all year to work directly with him. Hopefully my manager won't have an issue with that, but I'd rather not give BS/bad advice for someone I haven't worked much with yet.
Even a couple other coworkers I did evals for got kinda close to BS. But I tried to at least give positive/negative constructive criticism based on how they are during team stuff. It worked a bit better because I know they could use it, whereas the other guy I just plain knew I wouldn't be able to contribute any usable feedback.
