As others have said, those tabs are not designed to detach from the a-pillar. So if you do remove them, you're never getting them back on.

Also, my opinion is that if this isn't a racecar that you're stripping down, removing safety features that are there to protect you from serious injury or death in case of an accident has never made sense to me. When you build a track car, sure you're removing these things, but you're also adding other measures to compensate for this (roll cages, 5-point harness, helmets, etc). Just because it isn't a daily doesn't mean you should take away your protection simply for the sake of aesthetics. Just because you're a safe and smart driver doesn't mean someone else won't plow into you anyway.

Plan for the worst-case scenario and keep the safety features in tact. Other alternatives are better suited to your situation. My $0.02.
