If I can provide some insight on future car, go either the Hyundai or Crosstrek. The Crosstrek is for some reason the most reliable out of all the Subaru lineup. Wife used to have a 16 and I loved it, she traded it for a new AWD Mazda 3, which I would hands down recommend too. Very nice interior, quiet and comfortable ride. The AWD trim comes with a Bose system which is amazing. All sorts of safety features too for a car that costs less than 21K
