Company that makes a very common network monitoring tool (used in 425+ Fortune 500 companies), was compromised and released signed updates that had nasty and undetected malware in it. This has resulted in the confirmed compromise (so far) of one well known security firm, FireEye, as well as several government agencies.
Not car stuff, but I throw things like that in here knowing that there are quite a few of us that work in IT. This has gotten a lot of publicity, though. Wasn't really needed for me to post anything.
