Fair enough. I suppose I have too with a similar experience. I gravitate towards Southwest because BWI has been my primary airport for years now and it is a Southwest hub with a lot of direct flights.
As for Spirit, it seems like their infrastructure just wasn't all there when I used them, and the customer service folks were overwhelmed and/or not efficient in both airports. So that signals higher risk to me. Maybe it was just that they had more difficult passengers due to lower prices bringing in less experienced travelers?
