I haven't done the job on this engine (I've 'glued' together other engines though) and I can't say I think doing a good job removing the old sealant and applying a proper amount on reassembly constitutes a 'difficult' repair.

I never said that it was difficult. There is a wide gap between easy-to-fuck-up and difficult. If you don't give a shit, it is not difficult to fuck up in many critical places on this engine.
Fucking up gluing other engines only gives you an oily driveway.
