The powertrain is still under warranty if you're under 60K miles. It doesn't apply to electrical or battery issues but does cover the engine control computer.

Where did you get the new battery? If it was from an auto parts store, it's probably been on the shelf wet charged for months and may need recharging or is defective.

That usually isn't an issue at Toyota dealers, they go through so many that most have been on the shelf for a month or less. If it's an aftermarket battery with a return policy, consider doing that then get a fresh battery from a Toyota dealer, they're on sale this month and if that doesn't work, it will buy you some good will if your car winds up at a Toyota dealership for repair.
