They didn't care how many they sold the first time around since they only planned to make so many anyway and profit wasn't a high priority. I am nervous that this time around they will look for volume. Volume means meeting the wants of a much much larger segment of the buying public. Yup. I think the 2.0 version of the first gen actually had some great updates; felt torquier due to revisions in the final drive, a few extra HPs and the smaller, Lotus-like steering wheel really made the car significantly better to drive.
Here's hoping the second generation captures some of that refinement. I'm definitely planning on test driving one, at the very least.
