No, it felt like 240hp, it was pretty fast, just not fast enough for the price. The dealer salesperson was in the car slowing it down a little. The tuned BRZ with only me in it was a bit slower, but it also had around 7% less weight to pull. Likewise, I can tell the ND1 Miata pulls way harder until around 5k, and then it runs out of breath.
The last car I owned was a 2ZZ Spyder which was a bit faster (around 190bhp, and mine was sitting at around 2185lbs), and I drove to the dealer in a Cayman which is faster yet (advertised 275hp but they dyno at like 270 lol). For me, that's around the happy point.
Again if S2ks were cheap like a few years ago, I would have no complaints. It's the high price that makes me feel like they need a little more oomph.
