The 2020 has a lot better ride comfort vs the 2017. My best guess is the shock response time to make it soft or hard when you need it? The 2017 sometime feel like it bottoms out over bumps on the road.

The 2020 brakes hasn't squeaked on me yet and that is the main difference to me.

I traded my TRD 86 for this car and the 86 feels like it's stuck in R mode on the CTR therefore I prefer the adjustable shocks.
