Well, considering I paid around $1k for this SP89 (without all the stuff I've added) about 30 years ago, the price hasn't gone up at all. $1k in 1990 is worth about $2k today. Having this is the main reason I don't have a 9mm AR15 pistol because it's hard to beat this package for compactness; especially with the brace folded. It's old school, but still cool.
