While we're talking about Caymans (Caymen?)...

My unexpected conclusion after driving both the BRZ and 987 Cayman last year was that the BRZ is a lot more fun to drive on the street, and maybe a bit more fun at the track as well. I know the 987 is lauded as having fantastic steering, but honestly I was never that impressed with it. Too slow on-center, and I wasn't a fan of the variable ratio. Didn't help that the steering wheel was too big either. I would have *LOVED* to have the BRZ's steering in the Cayman! Opposite of the conventional wisdom, but I like the 981's steering more than the 987s! A bit quicker and doesn't seem as nonlinear (still variable ratio though). The 981s I drove also had the smaller-diameter steering wheels which helped vs my school-bus-steering-wheel 987. I *still* like the BRZ's steering better though!

Sold the 987 earlier this year and it wasn't a tough decision. BRZ wins! For me anyway... The Porsche should be more like the Toyobaru, IMO, not vice versa!
