Honestly, game plan is to wait until Black Friday anyway because I'm building a new rig with an LGA 1200 motherboard and ideally an i9 10900K (without the jacked up inflation), but I'll probably just purchase an i7 10700K instead since Rocket Lake is supposed to be coming out sometime next year.

Anything to watch out for?
AMD is launching new cpus here in november after the October reveal. 3000 series chips might get discounted. I feel like Intel may have to drop prices since they have nothing to respond with for quite awhile as you mention. The 3080 wont be discounted. But the 3070 will be out at 500 in October. You will probably see discounts on other stuff those like ssds and ram.
