You're lookin at putting close to 10K into going FI on an 86 if you do it right. That's 10K you'll never get back. If you can get your head around that then you'll have a great car. A 4banger Supra non manual just does not sound appealing in the least however it will depend on your priorities though, light and quick or more luxury oriented and a new car that is in stock form.
