Well, spike021, that's too damn bad -

I know nothing about your line of business, but, I will offer a few general suggestions.

* get to know your boss and figure out what he expects of you.

* attempt to please the person who performs your performance review and recommends you for a salary increase.

* do your best to cooperate with your fellow employees, help those that are newer/weaker.

* figure out who the "corporate snakes" are and ovoid them as much as possible.

* don't have an affair with a co-worker.
