depends on your state law. here in TX even if someone steals your car and does bad with it the damage parties can still go after you. by law, everyone here is require to have insurance regardless if your car is road worthy or not. i have an older car that is in storage, my adjuster told me according to TX law i still need to have insurance on it encase someone steals it and cause damages to others. but i told her nah, im good.
