I can personally confirm the possibility in a Karmann Ghia (at least in the shape I was in back in the early 1980's).
But I think the K-G has a more spacious interior than the BRZ, at least in the front seat area. It's a rear-engine car so the floor is almost flat. It makes it (relatively) easy to have, um,
access, between the front seats. T
The BRZ has the fairly tall transmission tunnel, so while it would be possible to reach across and touch, I wouldn't consider that "sex" (well, maybe at my age I might, but not by normal standards).
