I got my 225/40/18 set to fit just fine. It's a bit of a science. You need to fold the back seat down. Stack two tires right behind the drivers seat and lean the third against the stack you just created. Finally, the 4th fits flat in the trunk with your tools and helmet. It's an uncomfortable driving position for me (I'm 6' 3'') but it works!
