Interesting.

In 1970 a 426 Hemi 'Cuda was $3,832‬. Plymouth sold less than 1,000 of them because of the price.

A Corvette was $5,192.

So even the comparatively "cheap" Porsche (in today's dollars) was pretty expensive for the time.
