I hear you. I'm on my 4th engine right now (Recall didn't go so well for me, and never did, and I turbo'd my car so I accept responsibility for modifying my car)

Tcoat said, you shouldn't have issues with the engine, honestly. Get a 2014 or 2015 with the wiring harness and get it swapped in by a shop. Save up for a while and get a nice low mileage example. If you leave it stock ( No crank pulleys or air intakes!) it should last you a long time if you really love it.
I love my car to death and would never leave this platform, as much as I've wanted to in the past two years- it'll be worth it though, there are no other cars like this one.
