If the dealer is to put 3 months rego on the car that also means they have paid stamp duty. You have bought the car new in your name and if they do the rego for 3 months it would have to put into your name so that means paying stamp duty. Stamp Duty will not have to be paid again in another state if your still keeping the rego in your name...
