That's the only way that I would upgrade. Otherwise edelbrock is still on the horizon.

I'm sure the Supra could still get a hybrid powertrain. Or at least the CLARS architecture supports it.
As for the the 86/BRZ... eh. We'll probably see fairly soon if they made changes underneath the car that adds rooms for something... like batteries.
We aren't getting a turbo period. We all need to give up on that. But an electric motor would easily fill that gap and would likely cost the same or less to do with battery prices tanking and economies of scale beginning to work in favor of EVs and hybrids. I can imagine +30 hp and +70 torque with 50 mpg... That would be very, very cool.
