i know they sometimes sell both authentic and knock off but list it as "style" and it's always a cheaper price, should be pretty apparent to the buyer, also in the item description details it will be more specific. I don't think it is done intentionally to mislead people ,rather to clearly show this product is 99% identical to this other authentic product but for 70% the price. |
I said the $90 price was a few years back. The price remained the same on their site for a good few years. I purchased a few items from them when I had my 2016 STI and that item would frequently pop up when search for other parts, so I could see the price as the same, which was every time I saw it during my STI ownership (2015-2018). Style” was never in the title. As was the same with other instances mentioned previously in the thread.
As to the reasoning behind that, idk. Which is why I’m not making speculations. I have asked about it though, and it’s been ignored. So take that for what it’s worth. I also don’t really care to support them when all they’re doing is selling the same shit everybody else does while flooding the market with gaudy stickers and vinyl overlays and then sending pretty much every authentic aero part to “OLM” to be replicated for a fraction of the cost.
I have my own personal experiences with them with orders in the past. With my first FRS in 2013, and a couple orders for my 2016 STI. Many of those orders had no issues. A few did though, and the communication/response on their end was less than ideal.
That being said, it makes no difference to me how they do as a business. But I prefer to give others my business due to their better customer service and communication, and support of authentic companies.
