I was going to buy a last year new car in 2018 it was a 2017 gray one no pp. I got the dealer down to 23400 and went to finance it and they did not honor the 2018 promotional percentage (expected this) but they wanted to give me a 9.8% apr.. I had almost excellent credit. I think the promo was 0.9%?

I walked and went 95 miles away to get my 2018 50th anniversary pp for 27658 out the door and 2.4% apr.

I suppose ymmv with the dealer you are trying to make a deal with. I knew the first dealer was a pos for a long time.

As for the car I averaged 28/29 with bald tires and 25/26 when I got new tires. I do not try to get good mpg. I pull hard from most traffic lights and daily drive 80 miles. Of which 20 is pure mountain backroads (kept at high rpms) and 60 is a highway (a lot of hard red light pulls to just above the speed limit) and a bit of interstate. The car handles amazing on the backroads I push it harder everytime I take the hairpin. There is a transition from a patch in the road which causes a bump mid corner and the car acts like it isn't even there. You feel the bump hard (thanks pp suspension) but the tires never notice the difference.

I have driven 500 miles round trip in one day to buy a fuel tank for a na miata. It wasn't super comfortable but it is fine. I've never had real issues with trunk space I've carried gun cases and a tool bag and large socket set most of the time. It will fill up quickly but I've never had issues taking the garbage to the dump or carrying anything I needed for my construction job I had.

Not my car is not a daily driver because I have a company van for my new job so I find a reason to go for a drive instead of taking care of the things I need to do around the house. I miss driving it everyday.

Wore the stock tires to literally bald in 27k honestly they were shot around 25k never had issues with the rubber at cold temps but the coldest it gets is around 19°F once or twice a year. Not much snow here but when it did it was difficult but not impossible to get around.

I've put a catback on it and the transmission bushing. The car sounds mature not raspy or anything I found a greddy v3 for 360 bucks used.

I put some stats from fuelio. I have recorded every fillup. And yes I know the fuel pump in the car must hate me because I fill up 11.5gals most of the time. But if it dies then I get to start putting bigger fuel parts on [emoji48].

Anyway I bought the car on July 8th 2018 and have loved every day of it. Now it is a weekend warrior.
