As the Bell helmet ads used to say "If you have a $10 head, wear a $10 helmet". I'll let you figure out what that says about someone that doesn't want to wear one.

Now that said, I'm a little conflicted on whether it should be mandated by law.
Same here about the law. On one hand I figure a rider without a helmet could see and hear better (to be aware of me and stay the hell out of my way). On the other hand people wearing helmets would be less likely to be clogging up the ICU units, in case I have to go there for a heart attack. Yes, it's all about ME.
