My washer spray gave out entirely. When I pull the wiper stalk there is no spray and no sound to indicate the sprayer motor is working.

In this case, I think it actually might be the pump instead of the lines being clogged.

The 2 Subaru dealers in my area both have service department reputations that give me pause. I'm worried that they're going to charge me a bunch of money to diagnose the issue and then not cover it under warranty.

To complicate matters, I'm hitting 3 years with my car in about a week. So it's now or never for bumper to bumper coverage.

Any idea on how much time an independent shop would need to bill to replace the pump?

I'd rather not have the stress of fighting with a crappy dealer service department right now. Prefer to just go to a mechanic I trust.
