There’s really no issue with this. The camera consumes very little power and being on all the time is better for solid state devices than turning on and off repeatedly.

Also, you won’t have the small delay waiting for the camera to turn on when going in reverse. It’s short but it’s there and in some cameras the image looks wonky for ~ a 1/4 second when booting up. I prefer wiring the backup camera to an accessory wire.
